Sweden premier producer of the moment - Dan Lissvik - works his magic once more, this time infusing a bass heavy saunter to NONONO‘s stellar ‘Like The Wind’. The real treat kicks in at 2:20 though, where the song hits an absolutely epic peak – just begging to be blasted at outrageous volumes, as often as possible. The remix is exclusive to a 12″ vinyl released by London’s Best Fit Recordings, shipping in June. For info visit the Best Fit store.

London’s Crushed Beaks have announced details of their debut EP’s release this fall on ASL Records. Out September 19th, ‘Tropes’ is catchy as sin – an upbeat and crisp venture in comparison to previous single ‘Breakdown’. The overriding sense (after half a dozen listens on repeat…) is a fine-tuning of a band’s already winning formula. Our money is on these guys for the foreseeable. The duo will play a show at the Lexington to celebrate the launch. Tickets available via Billetto.

A new track emerges from unstoppable Danish upstart MØ. Although, it doesn’t feel as though the term ‘upstart’ does justice to the string of undeniably catchy and justifiably ambitious sounds. MØ’s unique electro pop leaves you hungry for more, and with an instant inclination to hit the ‘loop’ button with an appearance of any new material. ‘Waste of Time’ is the first single from her forthcoming debut album on RCA Victor, which is due out later this year.

Available on May 27th on Good Years Recording, ‘Warm Water’ is a somewhat more demure take in comparison to the LA singer’s previous tracks (Before I Ever Met You, Fall Over), but nonetheless as captivating.
An entirely ferocious, most definitely NSFW, and just plain heavy remix of DEMS‘ latest single, ‘Desire’ from London producer Father. All sense of the original version’s delicate tendencies removed, this gritty reworking delves into the animalistic side of the song’s moniker. Best taken with a cold shower.

Stockholm’s We are the Storm announced back in February their signing to Stockholm label Kvalität for the release of a forthcoming second full length, Wastelands (the follow-up to 2011′s To the North-Pole). ‘Morel Park’, the second single from the upcoming LP, is brimming with upbeat pop rock sensibility, but maintains a solid grounding in passionate, emotive narrative – a difficult balance to strike. But judging from the info provided so far, that fine balance between juxtaposed ideas is exactly what We are the Storm are after: “The songs conjure pictures of a deserted land where some things survive while others die. But from the ashes of the wasteland, something new can rise.” We are the Storm // Facebook // Twitter // Soundcloud

A new track from Bay Area collective The Seshen, ’2000 Seasons’ is taken from their forthcoming EP. What makes this track about self-entitled conquest an interesting listen are the three distinct movements, the transitions between these, and the groove that simmers throughout. The song flows from a hushed, aquatic-textured synth to an infectious, snapping groove – adding layer after layer before culminating in a wash of clipped vocal and overdriven snyth. Great stuff. The Seshen // Facebook // Soundcloud // Bandcamp
